Warfarin Interactions

Ischemic stroke may occur because of blood clots forming in the arteries of the brain, or forming in the heart and then escaping into the arteries of the brain. Warfarin is an anticoagulant. It decreases the ability of the blood to clot. It therefore helps to prevent harmful clots from forming in the blood vessels or the heart. It is usually taken once a day.

There are some medications that might interact with Warfarin. Please inform your doctor if you are on Warfarin. We recommend that you check with your doctor before you purchase or take any over the counter medications.
