Lipid Monitoring (血脂监控 （控制您的胆固醇))

If there are no contraindications, your doctor will want to start you on a lipid-lowering medication after your stroke. It is also routine for your doctor to monitor your lipid levels through a blood test.

如果没有禁忌证，医生会在您中风之后给您服用降血脂的药物。医生也会常规检查您的血脂水平。

Lipid lowering medications (such as statin) are routinely prescribed as secondary prevention to patients who have had a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack. The aim is to achieve an LDL cholesterol of less than 2.0 mmol/L or at least a 50% reduction in the LDL cholesterol from baseline. Your doctor would help you with this monitoring. Please remember to take your prescribed medications regularly. Let you doctor know if you have abdominal pains, your skin becomes yellow or you have muscular aches. (these are the most common side effects although there are others)
